Dear Mrs Granum and all members of the Bow i.n., Thank you for your wonderful website. Let me introduce myself. Involved in a European research project in History at the University of Rouen (France) about Vietnamese Amerasians who came to Europe and whose father was an American soldier during the Vietnam War (1955-1975) and whose mother is Vietnamese, I write to you today regarding my archival work. Please, don’t hesitate to share or forward my message to someone in particular or institution could be interesting for my research. I have two questions. First of all, I would like to know if you know any archives or information concerning these mixed-race children in Europe. This topic includes: - Vietnamese Amerasians in general - The European aid to the Vietnamese Amerasians - Vietnamese Amerasians who came to Europe (Operation Babylift, Boat People, Adoption, Refugees, Asylum seekers…) - Vietnamese Amerasians adopted in Europe. - The adoptive parents of these mixed-race children in Europe - The biological parents of these mixed-race children Secondly, may I ask you if you know Vietnamese Amerasians living in Europe today? Or if you know any support organisation for the Babylift to Europe or for Vietnamese Amerasians living in Europe ? Thank you in advance for the time you will devote to my requests. Kind Regards, Nastassia Serste (Chibow Project) Researcher
